Since the day GST system has been launched, the commerce ministry has organized almost 60 outreach programs on GST. These programs have been organized for the trade and industry members. The commerce ministry has also placed GST cells in the public sectors such as PEC, STC, MMTC, and India Trade Promotion Organization. The objective of such a large undertaking is to offer as much GST information as possible to the traders and stakeholders, claims a GST official.

Apart from the state controlled firms, the director general of foreign trade also have organized GST cells to resolve issues regarding GST related export and import issues. The outreach programs are being attended by all the senior GST officers and authorize responsible custom management. Even though the programs are being held to make the task of the exporters easy, the Federation of Indian Export Organizations made a demand to resolve some issues related to the liquidity crunch.

The president of the organization has said that the high cost has crippled the edge of export. Additionally, the restrictions on the interstate transaction with the unregistered dealers have influenced the work immensely.

He also said that the booking position from October does not appear to be too promising. The mounting pressure on the organization regarding liquidity would also affect the business.
