New Delhi – The government has decided to offer an extension for GST filing date. Those who provide online information and retrieve services from countries outside India to the non-taxable organizations in India would be able to access this extension.
The July return (GSTR-5A) filing date for them has been extended to 15th September. According to a notice issued by the central government, the declaration has been made. This filing date covers both CGST and IGST. The states would have to issue dates for SGST separately.
The Central government has also notified about the new date for filing the return in respect of input service distributor. This form is GSTR-6. The filing dates for GSTR-6 for the month of July is 8th September, and for August is 23rd September. The July return filing has to be done by 13th August.
