Mumbai – Before the GST filing day, almost fifty thousand applications have been submitted by the traders to get GST registration number. Most of the traders have received their registration number said a government official.
GST has been launched on 1st of July. The deadline for filing the return without any transactional credit has been set on 20th August. The transactional credit filing date has been set on 28th August.
The GST Council has received fifty thousand applications for the registration number, and most of the applicants have received the desired said Subhash Varshney, chief Commissioner of GST & Central Excise. The other traders are looking for information regarding GST.
A two-day demo has been launched to test the return filing. In this demo, the officials would explain the procedure to the taxpayers. They will also assist the taxpayers to file the return.
Advertisement in the newspaper is another progressive step which the department has taken to give details to the taxpayers.
